Storming Fort Wagner.

This chromolithograph, one in a series published in 1890 by the Chicago firm of Kurz and Allison, commemorated the celebrated assault by the African-American soldiers of the Massachusetts 54th Regiment on Fort Wagner in Charleston Harbor on July 18, 1863.
